Imaging stories and writing has been my passion since high school. I bet I was one of the few kids in high school who enjoyed English class. After I graduated, I took Journalism Administration and worked in the graphic arts and printing and publishing industry throughout my adult life.

Magazine Publishing:

• I published the Canadian Teddy Bear News, a magazine which reflected my love of teddy bears and teddy bear artistry, 1998 – 2006.

  • The magazine became popular across Canada with artists and collectors alike.

  • I also contributed many articles on teddy bear collecting and art to various collector magazines throughout Canada and the United States.

Awards:

• 1997 recipient of the Calgary Writers Association Brendon Donnelly Award for Children’s Literature, Calgary Writers Association (now defunct).

• 1998 Third Place for the Calgary Writers Association Sunshine Sketches Award for Fiction Writing, Calgary Writers Association (now defunct).
